Long-term AI Member and supporter, Tolu Obamuroh has been awarded the prestigious Weinstein JAMS Fellowship for 2015. The Fellowship provides opportunities for qualified individuals from outside the United States to study dispute resolution processes and practices in the U.S. to assist them in their efforts to advance the resolution of disputes in their home countries.
As part of his fellowship project, Tolu will spend three months training and doing research at Harvard Law School, Pepperdine University Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, and UC Hastings School of Law. He will also spend some weeks at JAMS offices in San Francisco and New York as well as White & Case (US) LLP New York, at the end of which he will make recommendations for strengthening the institutional capacity of the Lagos Court of Arbitration as well as deepening the practice of arbitration in Nigeria.
